I’m trying to improve myself, but these last few months I’ve been pretty negative. I feel it affecting my physical health. How do y’all stay positive?

Been dealing with personal shyt these past few months that’s making me all weird. Every time I try to be positive it’s usually followed by negatives. :francis:

Dont jack it

Exercise

Focus on what you can control

Go outside and take a walk in the park

Stare at some water

Find a hobby to keep you up to something during idle time

Keep going outside

Practice positive thinking (I know that's easier said than done when you're down)

Also regulate your social media time. And don't stew in what people choose to show in their curated pictures.

I read this book a few months ago and have found it's helped.

Meditate as in sitting down, closing your eyes, relaxing your mind going within. Introspection.

Think about the present moment and the future, but do not get lost in thoughts about the future.

Don't masturbate, retain you're semen...it seriously gives you an extra boost, if our bodies were cars it'd be like NOS.

Exercise, watch YouTube videos of home workouts, or go to the gym. If you are a heavy or just have a gut, do some cardio or play basketball.

Drink water. Cut out soda. I haven't drunk soda in I don't know how long.

Don't let social Media effect you in any negative way, just don't.

Read the Bible.

Read books in general, preferably self improvement books.

I recommend "outwitting the devil", there's a YouTube video of a narrator breaking it down and I learned something from it

Lie to yourself until you believe it. Indulge in drugs to fight the demons.
Or
Find the root of your negativity and find reason. Think about all you have, be grateful, and think about unfortunate ppl.

You're desires are outweighing your reality. Take that negative energy and work towards positivity. Instead of focusing on what you dont have, focus on what you can do to change it
i.e i dont have 6 certs, so whats the first step to get 6 certs? Fill out a cc app within the next 3 days. How will i pay for exams, work two jobs (no excuses), eat ramen, and live like a lame. How will i pass exams? Spend _x_ amount of hours studying/wk. So on and so forth

Write down your goals. Break your goals down until you are actively working on them EVERYDAY

That’s what Im really referring to. My thoughts are what are fuxkin me up. I’m trying to stay positive, but these negative thoughts creep up and take over.

Any tips to help me out?

-Try something new you haven't done before that you find even a tad interesting -

I built some Gunpla models from the anime show one night. I didn't build anymore, but it felt good to do something out of the ordinary and it kicked me out of my funk.

-Replacing bad habits with good habits that will help you achieve your goals -

One BIG thing that helped me was going through all my music and throwing out songs that promoted (what I saw) as negative ideas.

I keep J cole, Bas, Joey Badass, Dizzy Wright etc. because they have plenty of songs that speak on inspiration, learning to care about yourself, etc.

- Understand that the thoughts don't just go away and there is nothing wrong with having them -

I still have negativity creep in from time to time, but I do my best to let them "pass through" my mind. I don't give them any of my much needed energy because I know where it leads my thoughts. It takes practice, but you can start and work on that anytime.

It's natural to have them, the issue is when they dominate your life.

I also recommend this book.

New Yawk where I’m from / Bahston where I’m at
I’m told 30 minutes on the treadmill every day will fix life’s problems. Maybe if I hit 10 miles my boss will stop being a sociopath and all of a sudden my social circle will expand with fulfilling interactions.

Let me know if it works.

Toughts come from words, exercise is good because it makes you stay in your body

But if you creative you can find other ways to stay in your body

Also when you connect to your body pay attention to what makes you feel good and bad

Solving mind problems with more mind will not work its time to pay more attention to what your body says

Good thread...

I have a huge problem with looping negative thoughts. I've been trying like a mufukka to keep my vibration positive, but they constantly creep in...not trying to manifest negative shyt...

I also noticed that my back and shoulders constantly feel dull and tired, like I always need a good massage. Perhaps my body has been trying to tell me something...

Meditation is key, master your thoughts.
This

@El Villano Ingobernable check out a book called The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle as well if you haven't

Talking to people is very important too. I've been through my share of downs and usually I don't tell anyone because we're taught to be stoic and not to show emotion but it's good to have someone that will just listen because sometimes that all you need

Peace
