I agree but terrorism would likely make the Government back off of any reparations program. Direct payments would be a non starter. We would need more opaque programs. I think 50 to 60% of the highway system should be tolled and all of the revenues paid out as Reparations. Preferential placement in education, business and housing funding, job placement and revenues from other government schemes should be involved as well. It'd likely to be just as controversial as direct payments but less volatile. Non white people getting checks will never sit right to I'd say 90% of white people, "allies" or not.
