TLDR: cognitive therapy

This is accepted and viewed by psychologists as the number 1 form of affective therapy in terms of breaking negative mental habits

Started therapy a few weeks ago and soon we'll be starting cognitive therapy exercises.. I have really low self esteem so what my therapist basically said we'll be working on is when I have a negative thought about myself to try and think of a time when I felt good about myself or think about something I like about myself to replace that thought

I did this all the time without knowing its cognitive therapy :ohhh:
