This isn't a good idea. The input lag introduced from the HDMI pass through isn't worth it from what I've heard. Some may notice it, some may not.

Plus a good 4K TV already upscales your PS4 or Xbox One image anyway.

The difference between the XB1s scaler and the TV would hardly be noticeable.

what is this guy talking about?
4K TV do in fact upscale on their own.

Practically most high end 4K TVs from Samsung, Sony and Sharp have good 4K upscaling engines in them.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about and I think him using a regular run of the mill Vizio 4K to speak on all 4K upscalers is weird.

Virtually every 4K TV has a built in upscaler. The difference between your TV's upscaling and Xbox One S would probably be negligible since most high end 4K TVs have pretty good upscaling chips in them.

It's no different than your TV showing "1080P" even though the game you're playing is rendered at 720-900P.

The reason why the TV would now say 2160P is because the Xbox One S is already upscaling the image so essentially the TV "sees" a 2160p buffer(Though it's not native)

The upscaled image isn't going to look like a native 2160p. If you had a gaming PC and you hooked up your PC to the 4KTV and played a game like GTA V in native 4K and then switched back to teh Xbox One S playing GTA V upscaled to 4K, it'd be a huge difference even though the input would still say "2160P" for both.

Shut up you don't even know what you are talking about... Do you even have a 4k television? The difference is noticeable, I have a 4k TV and Xbox one original and Xbox One S. The One S upscaler is better than the TV breh. You don't even know what you talking about. Microsoft just put a upscaler in the system for fun huh.

Chalk up the lost and keep it moving with that fanboy shyt.

If you have a decent up-to date 4KTV then it will do the upscaling for you automatically.
