Especially Silk. Pound 4 Pound, Charge It 2 Da Game might be the best produced album on No Limit. Sounds like a more fun and colorful P album with more bounce. You can tell it came out between Ghetto D and Da Last Don. Lord knows Soulja Slim needed them beats! Silk must've been at every studio sessions claiming beats in the name of Master P new album.

Philadelphia Freeway production and Features might be Top 5 ever in Hiphop. Especially for a debut. Just Blaze was treating him like Mannie Fresh was treating Juvenile. I mean Freeway is nice but Gotdamn. I'm still amazed to this day. The album was so polished. I remember buying album back then off the strength of his flow and unique voice I didnt even know Flipside and What we do was his songs bcuz I just heard them on the radio. Usually you buy the album from a new artist you like and get 4 or 5 good tracks at best. Popped that cd in and off the bat I heard....
Free... Oouh Oouu Ouuh Oou Ou
Free, nikka, the name is strong
It can mean ten things in one
This dedicated to my nikkas that grind from ten to ten
In other words, all day duck the cops 'cause they wanna be free
Man, them gates is strong and when that nikka locked down
And he can't get out and he lose a couple pounds and his skin get pale
And he's sittin' in his cell 'til his patience gone, you know
Freeway be feeling your pain, I got twelve homies doing the same
And if they had bail, homie, they'd be out
But they don't, so they sittin' for a minute
That's the price of the game when you in it
Your freedom get strippen away

Then listened to the rest.. Like damn.... I knew it was a classic the 1st time I went thru it. And I'm Louisiana, just really started listening to East Coast when Prodigy HNIC dropped. I was making beats and putting little songs together myself. Just remembering how Crazy Flipside was in the club when it came out. So much energy. Early 2000s were a great time to be in the club on the EAst Coast. Hampton Roads / DMV. They played it all!
