That's an odd question..

There were no cell phones back then. Also, less cars and leas highways/expressways, freeways, etc. Less people equals less fatalities..

This is a troll but if you look up car deaths by year the USA has always had a very high amount of car accident deaths. Every decade


Traffic death rate per capita used to be higher. Way higher.

1960 had 36,399 deaths in a country of approx 180 million.

2020 had 38,824 deaths in a country of about 330 million.

Makes sense. Less traffic laws. Less safety features on cars, etc.

But, on average, I don't think a lot of people died via car accidents, etc. in urban areas and rural areas where there were no traffic lights.

As for the texting portion.. Come on..There were no cell phones back then. shyt, how many people here used to own a typewriter back in the 80s & 90s?? How many people here had a pager?? *raises own hand to both questions*
