How will a Republican-controlled Senate affect the last two years of Obama's presidency?

While it's not set in stone and it's not impossible that the Dems will keep the Senate (or that it'll be 50/50), at this point it seems likely that the GOP will win the Senate in the upcoming midterms, and it's 100% certain they'll keep the house.

So that means we'll have a Dem president, while both houses are controlled by Republicans. How do you think that bodes for his last two years as president?


Do you think they'll just continue to block everything? Make a serious attempt to impeach him? Try to hack away at Obamacare and whatever else he managed to get through little by little?

Will Obama just say "fukk it" and start vetoing shyt? Will Republicans go so crazy far right that it hurts them in 2016?


I'm curious as to what yall think. I really don't know.

I don't think it will change shyt. Except they will probably try to impeach him or try to embarrass him nationally or something. He will just sign executive orders and tell them to fukk off. I think he has done all he can really do anyway.

It shouldn't change too much because they're requiring a 60 vote supermajority to pass anything anyway. I doubt they could overturn the ACA because the Dems would filibuster. Maybe there will be more useless investigations into Obama over bullshyt like Benghazi and Solyndra.

Even if he were impeached, he'd be acquitted. Still..it would be an insane distraction and would certainly ruin the rest of his presidency.

I honestly have no clue what the Republicans are trying to "impeach" him for though. Honestly, I hear a lot of talk about it....but I've heard no real actual crime. At least with Clinton, dude *did* tell a bold faced lie on television (All politicians lie, but his shyt wasn't even debatable although extremely irrelevant).

Impeachment would actually help him and guarantee democratic wins in 2016.
Republicans will lose the Senate in 2016 regardless, as the Tea Party class of 2010 seeks reelection.
They'll be defending many seats in blue states in a presidential year (higher turnout).
