or acquitted?

What artist(s) is going to immediately take a stand and speak the "unpopular" truth?

Will the riots get to '92 LA levels?

How far is the hip-hop community ready to go with this?

:lupe:

What are they going to do? Make diss songs towards GZ? Whine? Cry? In the end of the day that's not doing anything for Martin's family.

Truthfully, Hip-Hop has been a real letdown regarding this situation in general. You got the people at the forefront of Black society in America with a voice, and most of them have been mum as fukk. Salute to the Geto Boys and Mos Def for making their tracks, but they were barely heard and it's just not enough.

probably make a couple songs outraged then forget about it until the next injustice

that goes for all modern day media culture. if you think about all the horrific things that can now be brought to the light due to more exhaustive media coverage, we also tend to move on from one thing to another quicker than ever before

i look back at and it feels like a historical time capsule. there was sean bell, oscar grant, jonylah, trayvon and every single one is heartbreaking. i'm glad fruitvale station is coming out to remind people of at least oscar grant

hurricane katrina, bp oil spill, chris dorner, boston bombing etc the list goes on and on. its the reality that we just can't find the time to fixate on the issues that cause these things because something unbelievable happens just as you're moving on from one thing

Hip Hop hasn't been the outlet T/S thinks it is since the 80s :whoo:

We had Pac in that time but that's pretty much it, the rest of these guys out here are too busy, 'hustling' to give a fukk about their own people.

On Christ! PAC wasn't the only hip hop activist. You had PE, dead prez, Mos Def and few others.

But you right, Pac might have said something and made people listen
