So brehs and brehettes, when you have children, how will you raise them so they embrace their blackness and love themselves?

By instilling the concept of self-love that goes beyond him being Black. It doesn't start and end with that alone. Embracing your whole self is the key to the rest.

They have to be raised in a better environment.

Good thread..IMO if you show you love your kids..they will love themselves,stop stereotyping at home and watching your words also goes a long way.

Plus controlling the media enviroment..i cant tell you how many homes ive been to and theres little babies forced to watch BET uncut and those scandalous reality shows like RHOA ...that shyt cant be any good for the mind of a 4 year old

I'm good with my child being a overall good person. She doesn't have to embrace her blackness and I'm not going to beat her over the head with it. I want her to treat everyone equally and with respect as long as it reciprocated and be her back bone. She will make her own decisions about her life when she comes of age.
