How you think @CombatJack show would fare in todays radio climate (ie a Hot 97)? Because I think they would make a perfect match for the mornings instead of Ebro and company.

I don't think that's the type of thing he'd want to do. It seems like he's doing this because he didn't really like being an employee (as a lawyer).

And honestly I think a show like this is better outside of terrestrial anyway. In fact, he'd have to change his show up completely. The interviews (the part of his show everyone wants to listen to) would have to be cut from 2+ hours to probably 10-30 minutes. He'd have to lose that affinity for NY and play Southern music all day. He'd have to talk about what's going on currently in hip-hop a lot more. It would be nothing like the show you have now.

I don't see him working well in a mainstream type show. IMO Combat tends to go on tangents that a less hardcore audience might not tolerate or be interested in.

He'd be perfect for a new type of station that plays all hip hop. Not just shyt that came out within the last 6 months, which is how most urban stations operate.

Terrible...it'd ruin pretty much everything we all like about he show...morning radio is for the attention whoring antics of Charlemagne and Ebro...Combat Jack shows thrives on the long form format, and not having to worry about ratings and sh!t...it's the same reason Ciph and Rosenberg didn't work in the morning and Ebro had swoop in with his bootleg CTG/Star "abrasive jackass" schtick...shyt like Juan Epstein and Combat's show are meant to be podcasts...the only radio format that would work is some sh!t like Howard Stern has on satellite radio, which allows them the time to give thorough interviews and let the guests drop the gems and stories that we all listen far...or maybe a hip hop version of the Michael Baisden Show in the afternoon on a AC Hip Hop formatted station...nobody wants to hear them interviewing Tinashe chopped into 4 minute segments in between a DJ mustard mega mix

It would strip the show of everything that makes it unique..

You think Hot97 or Power gonna let him sit down for 2 hours with Kane or Chuck D?

They would have my man interviewing Kirko Bangz and playing the role of "old n1gga in the club" like Flex and Ebro..

Terrible idea ..

I think with the way radio (especially urban radio) is structured now sucks. Of course the show would definitely been dumb down. But in todays climate, if they can fine a structure in the same vein TBC does their interviews (but on a higher standard) it may can work.
