Do you have a code to live by? Do you follow religious teachings? How do you decide what is moral?

he's conformed his whole life so ignore his trolling..

As for me, my morals are based on Neo-Marxism or on a collectivization principle for the black diaspora to fight racial and capital oppression...I live through educating the youth and caring for the poor, sick, or those that cannot take care of themselves in my community...A man who complains of oppression yet refuses to engage in social activism is a coward and; I am anti-individualist because it kills the community...I believe in a higher power (God) but am not clear on the actual principles of the religion as I am reading more to learn, analyze, and interpret; My people are a nation within a nation and we will fight together as we always have.

In short, Huey Newton said it best: Survive as a people, die in servitude to our people...servant leadership.

RELIGION SHAPED MOST OF MY MORALS. EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT AS RELIGIOUS AS I WAS I STILL HOLD ON TO THOSE TEACHINGS FOR THE MOST PART.

I view sin as doing something against your own soul or principles. Everyone has a different code or principle and the big challenge in life is when you encounter people with different codes but that you happen to like (or need at the time for a certain purpose) because then you face the choice of either sacrificing your principle OR sinning against yourself to save your situation (whether the situation is a friendship, a job, the opportunity to fukk a chick, a business opportunity, etc). I recently saw the movie 3:10 to Yuma and i felt like that was one of the movie's main themes. Both characters had very different principles and codes but they both happened to be fond of eachother on some level.

If everyone had the same code and you either chose to do the right or the wrong thing, life would be easy as fukk. I believe in right and wrong but not in an absolute way.

I don't really follow religious teachings but i do get inspired by it often and it definitely still has influence on me.

I decide what's moral for me based on my code. My code is not set in stone. it evolves as i try to become a better man. I just try not to make it change out of convenience. It should only change if i feel like i have a true revelation about something. As far as an absolute moral, i've spoken on this in another thread but basically, i believe that whatever we can consider Absolute is part of what "God" is. But no one has ever seen "God" so i don't think anyone truly knows what's moral in an absolute way.
