The Year is 1997 and the month is December, a broken Bret Hart joined WCW and a tired Vince McMahon is stuck in a battle he can't win with the aforementioned WCW. Enter Savio Vega, a young puerto rican native and future WWF world heavyweight champion. Savio has shown his worth as being one of the most Over superstars in the last 3 years. After a heartbreaking defeat during the King of the Ring 1995 things are looking up for the man Bruiser Brody once considered a son.
To have this upstanding gent reach the main-event level we have him begin a 3 month program with Shawn Michaels. After Survivor Series Owen Hart is looking to avenge his brother, here we have Savio team with Owen to battle D-X. During this time period Savio turns babyface. Things cool off for a while and Owen and Savio go their separate ways, during the month of January Savio announces his candidacy in the Royal Rumble. Savio brings the latin kings to watch his back and he wins The Royal Rumble. During this same event Shawn Michaels defeats The Undertaker.
Stone Cold and Savio fued for the month of Febuary, Stone Cold brings DOA in to watch his back and we have the main event for the no way out: in your house 1998 PPV. Savio and the latin kings Vs. Stone Cold and DOA. Savio and his team come out victorious. After the event Savio and Stone cold form a truce simlimar to the Watts truce of 1992.
Savio is on his Road to Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania XIV the date is March 29, 1998. Everything about Wrestlemania remains the same, we have Mike Tyson and we have the Chris Warren band. The only two differences is the main event and Owen beating Triple H. To help get Savio more over we have Big Pun get involved with media in NY.
During the Main Event, we have the latin kings come out waving puerto rican flags and Big pun creates a special entrance theme for Savio Vega. We have a classic WM Main Event that rivals Steamboat/Macho WMIII, this match becomes the new standing bear for main events. Shawn gets triple h to interfere during this match but to no avail Owen Hart helps Savio beat HBK.
A Twenty Year journey that a saw a young puerto rican man go through un-imaginable pain and torment, such as selling crack at age 11 to make ends meet ends at Wrestlemania XIV. After his World Heavyweight title reign Savio is revered in his home-country.
