Not necessarily. It depends on how the company executes it. If they just give it to the employees yes but there are ways around it.

They could frame the tickets as a business trip which they’re expensing (a silly risk to take, cuz Uncle Sam wouldn’t buy it) but I don’t see any way they can get around paying taxes on the $10k.
