I say this as a STEM person myself, but I really don’t care.

Tell me when we can travel 5 billion light years in 1/10 of the average human lifespan and I’ll be more interested.

Until then maybe scientists should be focusing on addressing more of the immediate concerns that are plaguing humanity and not throwing together quick fixes and shyt only the wealthy have access to. As humans, we’re all we got considering there really isn’t much around us.

The thing is that something 3.6 billion light years away is probably extinct by now or in some other state of existence
