Hoegan losing CLEAN isn't some bullshyt you just get over with with no buildup :heh:
You get Hulk Hogan to do a job for you WHENEVER you get the chance. Hogan and The Rock were gonna be gone for months, and with Hogan you cannot be sure if he's even coming back, and if he is, if he's putting someone over, or if he'll just pull what he did with HBK at Summerslam. In the case of Hogan, you use him for what you can when you have him, you cannot trust him with any sort of long term plan. Remember, this run of his ended with him quitting in the middle of the Mr. America run.

Blowing this match for free on Smackdown was incredibly stupid
No Hogan was supposed to lose here, go away for months, and then vignettes showing him training to take on Lesnar were supposed to start leading to match at Summerslam or Royal Rumble.

Hogan learned he was going to lose again, and he scrapped the whole angle.

The non nwo hogan is easily the cheesiest fukking character in history.

How did that shyt fly in 2002?

He didn't, after he went face shyt got corny real quick and he was getting those CDQ chants heavy

Ain't that why Austin walked out?

Yeah and I don't blame him, wasting Austin/Brock on a random RAW match with zero buildup is some classic trash Bischoff WCW booking

Survivor Series 2002 actually

....so they let Big Show beat him instead. I would argue it would have been interesting seeing Hogan do another heel turn and work with Heyman for a short stint but that would never happen
