these bums dragging their feet on my offer letter

i been grinding with job interviews near 2 months...anyone who followed my other thread saw how estatic i was when a hiring manager picked me to work under him at a hosting company


but its been a perfect storm of feet dragging on hr's end

-folks on vacation

- new employees rotating into hr

- an important exec currently relocating

- 4th of july

Based on a few places I have worked, this is absolutely true. The men were out in the workplace sweating, HR was all women.
Usually ones at that.

Human Resources? What a joke. This department should, if it is worth anything, provide a service to management by filtering job applications, finding the right people when you need them and managing personnel admin, and at the same time provide a service to employees through training and ensuring management and the company take their commitment to employees seriously.

Everywhere I've ever worked, it doesn't. It fails management by just acting as a post box for recruitment consultants, and fails employees by providing no training or support.

All they do is administrate, and they do that badly. Why pay these people 30-40K a year when a clerk could do a better job? Paying these nikkas to sit in the coffee shop and gossip over stupid shyt, then justify their existence by putting a powerpoint presentation together doesn't warrant their snotty attitude.

Has there ever been a HR dept that wasn't like this? Every job I've worked for this has been the case. Coming to work with festive sweaters and shyt for every holiday.

But they control the pay checks and know how much ppl make.

Contact the ppl who u actually interviewed with. i never got any of my paperwork and my start date was Comin up. I called the guy I'd be working for and they sent it that day. U have no clout so they dc.


They got me my stuff like a day before my start date
