There's that innate fear of the slightly abnormal I found interesting. That creepy vibe you can get seeing a robot talk is linked to it. That is probably learned in human history having an experience with dead human(s) and obtained ancestrally.

I've also read it could be linked to previous links to the modern human just different enough to incite fear during times when those types were warring (ex. Neanderthals) and we kept it over time.

Personally, I'm really afraid of heights. Loud noises are a concern, but the feeling I get from heights is otherworldly and I find it intriguing simply because it is so completely different from everything else. It is definitely the instance I can describe with the word "fear".

Heights is strange. If that were true then why are the penthouses of condos and hotels so expensive. People always wanting a “room with a view” etc.

I know fear of spiders and snakes is natural as well.

Not the same. Being hundreds of feet off the ground in an airplane or a secure building is not going to trigger a fear of heights in most people (Maybe extreme)!

I have a fear of heights. I'm terrified of the Maryland bay bridge and similar bridges like it that go up real high. That got damn see thru elevator at the Marriot in downtown Atlanta too.

I done had a few high rise spots and feel fine on the balcony over 20 stories up. But anytime I done been on the roof of one of these condos, I always have to stay in the middle. The closer I walk to the edge the more my instinct tells me to step back. I don’t see how people just be looking over the edge of buildings and walking freely around them.

Height i dont agree with......cultures have developed on and around structures with cliffs valleys and high plateaus......if something is never acknowledged as a fear because it's normal then it never becomes a fear

Not too scared of heights.

Stood a few feet from the edge of the Grand Canyon....maybe the North Rim. Had to have been at least 1,000 foot drop or more.

Bugs aren't scary outside but suck inside because you don't want shyt crawling on you at night.

Loud noise isn't scary. It's sudden, unexpected noise that scares people. Horror movies always do that shyt.

This is true

They call it uncanny valley these days

I remember as a kid looking at puppets and being slightly freaked out when I thought about how weird they would be if they were real.
