Every religion preaches against fighting against these instincts because they are so engrained in us. Why do we have to teach babies not to hurt and steal if thats already our nature?

We literally need to be babysat by governments just to be chill and still we fukk up government by being corrupt and greedy. If we were naturally civilized we would be able to ration and share and care for each other in times of emergency ,but that doesn't happen its just selfishness.

Even ants have a better understanding of community than us. We need to be threatened to be locked in a cage just for us to be decent.

Not necessarily true. Nature mimics humanity quite well. Animals don't kill out of necessity. Some kill during mating season, some kill their young, some who are secluded their whole lives get on some Jurassic World shyt trying to kill everything smaller than them. House cats and dogs kill for sport and there were reported cases of Lions in Africa killing people for sport.

Why don't you try to take a vacation in Liberia for one week to see the difference between hell and a civilized society, you're a typical first world citizen who complain when you have internet, clean water, good foods and a lot of stuffs to enjoy. The world is not perfect, but America is far more civilized than many other part of this world, why don't to try to be grateful for that.
