People have to start really fukking shyt up and be willing to risk their lives for real change to combat these inequality issues our societies have been plagued with... None of these protests work and governments and corporations know that. I know I’m being pessimistic but shyt like this really bothers me

I watched a documentary where landlords were getting paid thousands of dollars to temporarily house families in apartments that had controlled rent. I forget what they call it but it’s low or subsidised rent, that can only increase by a tiny amount each year.

Families were literally being forced out of their homes where rent was maybe 1500 so that landlords could get paid by the city more than twice that just for calling it emergency housing

As a lifelong NYer ive never seen the homelessness this bad. They are everywhere from the hood to the rich neighborhoods, the trains are basically mobile homeless shelters at night .I really want to know whats the plan to fix this

A lot of insensitivity in this thread. Not saying this will help address the homeless people directly but it can raise eyebrows and have citizens ask questions and get politicians involved to find solutions. Glad to see young black people involved in the picture.
