Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
yeah calorie dense vs nutrient-dense foods
a lot of people can be eating poorly but because the foods are so high in caliores they're eating more than they should because the foods don't fill them up
My thing is... drinking water fills you up too.

I'm confused as to how you can be suffering from chronic hunger and chronic obesity

And also a lot of the people who can afford food have no idea how to properly eat too. They have some broccoli with dinner and an apple mid day and think that’s cool. My wife didn’t even know that whole 3 square meals a day thing was a ploy to just get people to over spend on food. People aren’t really educated about anything outside of work and sports here.

A lot of people are eating food that fills you up and then gets shytted out with out any nutrients being left to absorb and also help your body grow. It just comes in and out but the calories basically sit in your fat and that’s it. So essentially they aren’t retaining anything from their food in their gut and other parts of their body, add in the lack of working out, they get fat, and still end up feeling hungry anyway

Not to mention the stress, which willed the body up in pretty much every way imaginable and probably in ways we still don’t know yet

take an apple and then take one of those tiny lays chips bags
an apple is 95 calories and would keep you fuller longer than that single bag of chips because of fiber and all of that which keeps you full
the bag of chips which is 160 calories doesn't. have you ever felt full after eating one serving of chips?
that's the other thing this type of person doesn't drink water they drink soda/juice more

A lot of the correlation between obesity and poverty is a lack of mental bandwidth. When you are struggling to pay a bill, you don't have that energy to do meal planning, budgeting, etc. So you go for that quick fast food meal. On top of that, the degree now to which these foods are made the called "hyper-satiety" which is just high as hell in salt and sugar.

I'm guilty of the same thing as a father, when my wife and I are exhausted at the end of the day, there is that temptation to just get the easy fast food meal for my kids and be done with it.

Plus that apple has water in it too so you can hydrate yourself as well, which is another key aspect of controlling weight
