I saw the trailer Sunday when I went to see Sinners.

Think of an R&B (Pop) version of Belly, very artsy cinematography movie, was very below average acting. Is it so bad it's funny suck? Or Netflix with a bish "are you still watching" suck?![]()
Problem is so many other artists bit his whole vibe that the druggy hazed out shyt don't hit the same like it did in 2011. 5 years later you had white girls like Banks making shyt that sounds like a b-side from Trilogy. After Hours was the perfect blend of top 40 pop and the dark r&b that made him famous. Not sure where you go from there besides chasing another Blinding Lights.I used to LOVE this dude's music. Before he blew up, when he was on that druggy/hazed out/soulful/miminal vibe. 10/10 music.
Dude did the soundtrack for that trash movie, and I liked the song but pretty soon random white girls were into the weekend.
It was a wrap.
The music's REALLY drastically gone down hill. Way, way, way too generic and commercial sounding. Playing it safe to get the safe money.
Death of an artist. Sad to see really.
The young generation refuses to cancel Kanye idk what flies as cringe anymoreProblem is so many other artists bit his whole vibe that the druggy hazed out shyt don't hit the same like it did in 2011. 5 years later you had white girls like Banks making shyt that sounds like a b-side from Trilogy. Also the whole vibe of the culture is shifting and folks are starting to get tired of the hedonistic shyt. You see how badly "The Idol" got clowned. I think he's retiring Weekend partly cuz he got his bread and the music industry sucks but also he knows it's time to pivot and making songs about doing cocaine orgies with strippers will just get you labelled "cringe" by the young generation/
Kanye gets love from kids that listen to Adin Ross and right wingers, them types don't really fukk with the Weekend's musicThe young generation refuses to cancel Kanye idk what flies as cringe anymore
Back then before he blew up his stuff was great even his voice was different. Now his voice sounds too nasally if that makes sense. Like he always has a cold or something. Well going by reviews I'll wait until this is on streaming before I watch.I used to LOVE this dude's music. Before he blew up, when he was on that druggy/hazed out/soulful/miminal vibe. 10/10 music.
