How does basketball fix the block/charge call?
Hurrying to a spot and standing still should not be rewarded as good defense.

the restricted area is a good idea in theory, but problem is now the nba refs are making the same inaccurate charge/block calls as they do in college.
player gets outside the restricted area and is set and its an automatic charge despite the fact that the shooter had already starting the shooting process before he was set. or a defender creates the contact by sliding underneath a shooter, but because he was set and outside the restricted when the contact occurs, a charge is called.
it is annoying and its one of the reasons college basketball is so frustrating to watch and its creeped its way into the nba.
