Let's say these teams replaced their current renditions, how would they do in the league today.

they're playing in today's rules with the same players, coach they had from their specific year

1967 Sixers

1972 La Lakers

1976 Portland Trailblazers

1980 Philly Sixers

1982 Bucks

1990 Chicago Bulls

1989 Cleveland Cavs

1997 Miami Heat

1999 New York Knicks

I picked some champions and a bunch of randoms just want your opinion.

Those Championship teams would still contend for the Title. All of them had all time great Bigs

Knicks and Heat would be like Thibs teams, since he came from that Coaching Tree ... They'd contend too.

Depends how fast they could adapt and have success with the 3-pt shot, dealing with the increase in athleticism, defending far better offensive schemes and players and creating offense against far better defensive schemes and players. The 90s teams would have an easier time transitioning, followed by the 80s and so on.

:heh:

No they wouldn't. That '67 Philly squad isn't competing for a title in today's league. They'd be lucky to make the playoffs.

How would those stockton and malone teams that took on mj in the finals fare, today. They got away with Ostertag as a center whereas i feel ostertag wouldve been a bust immediately and out the league right away in todays league. Plus the midrange is looked down upon in todays leagur and the zone makes it an easier shot range to defend against.

Yeah. I been waiting for this thread to pop up

Title level teams: 72 Lakers, 91 Bulls, 97 Heat

82 Bucks 89 Cavs, maybe 99 Knicks would win 55 games but get knocked out in the second round

Don't know whose on the 67 Sixers besides Wilt, Blazers besides Walton and 80 Sixers besides Julius (Mo Cheeks? Doug Collins? Moses was 82 right?)

Edit: 80 Sixers make a Conference Finals

Ostertag is worse than Roy Hibbert, Robin Lopez, Ian Mahinmi, Steven Adams? Even if the answer is yes then its not by any considerable margin. The point is I hate the argument that there are somehow no bad players in the league today compared to the 90's.

Not as much as I hate the argument that bum ass players in previous eras would be legit in today's league.
