Had they been it's possible we'd have several of our own Dentist, Eye Doctor, Supermarket chain busineses in 2022 instead of what we have now....which is nothing but corner stores in our neighborhoods that papi and Chinese ppl own

Yes, Black folks would be better off. It was one of the biggest movements to get blk ppl to love themselves and stop worshiping white ppl. Elijah (and others) had created a new culture for black folks--diet, fitness, cleanliness, hygiene, respect, protection, discipline, the idea of business, and education. He acknowledged that black folks needed to be re-educated to like and love themselves instead of white folks.

NOI is a mixture of a lot of the previous movements and ideas (Booker T, Garvyism, Moorish Science temple)

The big idea was to clean black folks up (spiritually and mentally) and from there, they'd have the confidence to live better lives. Christianity never really empowered black folks. It focused a lot on "money is the root of all evil" " the meek shall inherit the earth" Jesus will return one day
