Hypothetically, who would the 4th team be in a 4-team CFB tournament this year?

MSU, Stanford, Baylor, and Bama would all have legit claims imo.
Stanford would be on the outside looking in. with two losses one of which to Utah
The problem with letting Bama in is then what would be the argument against OSU. They both lost close games to the winner of their conference, but at least OSU's was in the title game.

This is why BCS schools need to only play BCS non conference opponents. That way you could use common opponents and common division records as the tie breaker.

It's all kind of circular logic in a way though, because how would Alabama have a better claim than OSU? And obviously OSU wouldn't have the claim over MSU.
