You should add some Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding to your :flabbynsick: collection.

well what i plan on doin' is redoin' it; i just ain't gone have as many cds i use too

some stuff like otis redding and marvin gaye either my mom got some stuff or my sister and brother in law do

but i think 1 of the first albums i'm gonna go back out and buy again for like the 10th time, is prince's purple rain soundtrack

i'm sitting here wondering if i should try to pawn off or throw out my collection of 60 or so CD's...

tbh the logic behind me keeping CDs has everything to do with convincing myself that it'd make sense to have just in case something destroyed the internet :heh:

:patrice: so you suggest i make this toss now? or you think someone would actually pay cash for 60 something albums from the 90's/early 2000s that have no cases LOL (they're all in a collection album)

don't most people have music on there phones these days? like the iphones? i wouldn't know because i don't keep up with smartphones and i phones and technology like i use too. like i said, all i got is a shytty ol tracfone, lol

naw, i don't think anybody gon buy them cds without cases and covers
i would keep them cds, short of them bein' scratched up and not bein' able to play like my cds were. i couldn't even play a lot of em' no more lol

It just doesn't seem practical to have a huge physical music collection anymore unless it's vinyl these days.

I used to have a ton of cds...then I had to throw out some that got scratched while moving from apartment to apartment, some just got lost, others haven't been played in years. The last cd I played was a reggae mix I bought at a corner store back in Pittsburgh.

It doesn't seem like it's a big deal anymore....what's the point? You can find whole albums streaming on youtube...download whole albums via Google or itunes, like I could listen to any album I wanted to right now on my phone. That takes less effort than going to whatever second hand music/video game/dvd store to buy the physical copy...which honestly seems like a graveyard for music cds and physical media as we go toward an era that's increasingly digital.
