Knuckles was the best of both worlds plus more. We had Sonic who was super fast and Tails, who could fly (and pretty much nothing else so fukk Tails). Then Knuckles came along and this dude was fast, he could fly (gliding technically but 
), climb, and he could punch the hell out of shyt too. He's always been my favorite character. The dudes tough, got a lot of heart and fighting spirit, and he aint ever scared. My only beef with him is this: How many times can someone get tricked by Robotnik into thinking Sonic is the enemy? 
But whatever. The dude gets a pass because he's a dope character.
