I believe Jeru wouldve made a better Gang Starr than Guru did.

Guru was able to make a classic album called Jazzmatazz 2 that had little imput from Preemo. Jeru on the otherhand couldnt make a whole album worth mentioning to save his life without Preemo's help. Jazzmatazz 1, 2 and 3......proved Guru was an overall better artist the Jeru.

Guru had way more hits with Preemo then Jeru did. Those hits included Guru's voice and style.

He was obviously a better rhymer than Guru but Guru's style was perfect for the Gangstarr music. Him and Primo had their own unique chemistry that nobody else can match
Thats what I said to. It worked but from a lyrical standpoint it wouldve been better with Jeru over Primo beats

Y'all nikkas overrate Jeru like crazy around here. How Jeru superior to Guru? Because he used a few more five dollar words? Im not even that big of a fan of Guru, but I'd take him any day of the week over dusty ass, incense sticks sellin Jeru.

They're about even when it comes to lyrics, but Guru blows him away when it comes to presence and charisma...What Jeru tracks are fukkin with these performances:

Gangstarr is pretty much singularly defined by guru's voice, flow and style over primo beats. ..swap him out for Jeru or pretty much any body and it's an entirely different group ... guru's non premier catalog seem more gangstarrish that any other rapper over premier beats. .don't know if that sounds stupid, but it's a big distinction in my mind

To be fair, if Preem woulda linked up with a Kool G rap from the beginning, we would associate him with the Primo/Gangstarr sound. What you're saying is a product of their history. It took years for Guru and Preem to perfect their chemistry....for a long time they were like blood brothers. A shame they fell off, and never had a chance to reconcile.
