I think the government creating crypto or more likely least having a hand in it's creation is plausible. Maybe as a bridge to digital currencies or as an alternative to the stock market as the 1% controls about 25 Trillion in stock market wealth.

It isn't farfetched that crypto was creayed by the government. There are a lot of clues that point to the alphabet boys that I shall not name.
It could have been a random person, but it is unlikely. CBDCs and Digital Currenfies are a perfect way to observe, track, and control the populace (depending on the blockchain).
This is why the wisest crypto investors diversify with precious metals, land next to fresh water, etc... in order to find other ways to stay anonymous and off the public ledgers.
