Safe to say those clowns who said the album was sonically incredible with the right headphones, listening to it while upside down with a blood moon in the sky were, in fact, wrong?
just a lot of yes men, no one is ever gonna be objective with Dre.

album reminds me of compton. most of us wanted it to work. and it does, in spots. but dre has been trying to find a new sound for a MINUTE. if we're being real. i honestly think that's the problem. he changed hip hop. three, four, five... six times over? and he's trying to change it again. so far, none of that shyt is hitting in a way that will match the impact a "produced by dr. dre" record used to create.

it's fine. dre is hip hop's goat producer, regardless. i will ALWAYS check for "dr. dre on the boards". but if he's gonna keep taking swings, he needs to spend more time in the batting cage. find a better balance between what he wants to hear, and a sound that works for 2025. and i say that because every great has had to make that compromise. nas with hitboy. kanye from "life of pablo" on... rakim post-eric b. shyt, madlib has made a career out of saving nikkas from themselves.

or... just be content in being the goat. which wouldnt be the most awful compromise in the world. :yeshrug:

What’s surprising about it lol. Two creatively bankrupt legends: one who will do anything for money, and another whose interest in music solely revolves around masturbatory studio perfection mixed with safe bullshyt to protect his legacy.

I know it will never happen, but I wish Dre would just link up with Daz again.

Snoop having the Death Row brand is an open goal for it.

They’ve already broken the back of having a Death Row x Aftermath project in Missionary.

Dre Is too boardroom and Daz too backstreets for that though.

Was there even a single reason they fell out?
