I can't be the only one who can't tell the difference between Malice & Pusha on Lord WIllin', right?

:mjlol:, Like, full stop, if it weren't for the occasional name drop and lyrics sites, as well as a couple of times where Pusha raps more closely like his current flow, I legitimately can't tell which one is rapping. Not that it makes the album any less dope but it's just crazy listening to an act where both guys legit sound and rap exactly the same!

Over the years I became able to tell the difference between them. But when Lord Willing first came out, I'm not even gonna lie and act like I didn't get confused on which one of them fools was rapping.

Edit: It took a while, but I ended up figuring out Malice was the more introspective one and then it became easier to distinguish between them

For me, Pusha sounds slightly deeper and more nasaly but even then, I've gone off that and wound up being wrong lmao.

I had the same trouble, but where I started to be able to tell the difference was around the time just after the Reup gang series.

It was never voice or flow, but subject matter.

Pusha is unapologetic, Malice sounds sorry. Once I had that in my head, by the 6th-8th bar I'd know who was who.

Basically what everyone else said, you can distinguish them by subject matter cause Malice has always been introspective and seemed like he was sorry, Push don't give af and is unapologetic

I think on this one, Malice was ahead of Pusha and you can see it. Clearly a big brother who got little brother into rap. Malice knows when to use metaphors or when to come out and say it. Malice lines just have that impact-

1. Patty Cake Patty cake- I'm the baker's line. A simple nursery rhyme but when Malice says it, you know what he's talking about

2. I'm not you - no lies. I sell coke but then you feel the pain in his lyrics like im sorry but not sorry.

3. Virginia- Ironic the same place im makin figures out ,that's the same land they used to hang nikkas at.
