I too remember when Tyler was considered "corny" at best and a c00n at worst.
But then he started making better music, started working closely with more prominent artists, and even became progressive after initially being problematic
To be fair to him, OF started out as teenagers/young adults and Tyler is now 34 yr olds so could just be a natural progression in maturity

I was on Twitter when he was posting all that stuff. Same with c00ns like Ice from the Joe Budden Podcast. It was an epidemic back then.

He's moved on from this as well as the whole Odd Future/Loiter squad, edgy shyt too and it reflects heavily in his lyrics past this album.
However, the problem with Tyler is that he's contrarian as fukk with his trolling, so any semblance maturity or growth is overshadowed by his edgelord views, which are in tune amplified by the edgelord fanbase he's curated. The fact that they're majority young and white, doesn't help the case either, and it's a shame 'cause his music (Tyler) has grown from that Yonkers shyt, but I've grown tired trying to extrapolate the artistry from the persona behind it.
