Anyone who argues his income makes him a hypocrite or something is either an idiot or just a centrist/right-winger acting in bad faith. He never claimed to be poor. He's a fukking senator, how could he possibly be poor or working class? His income also has literally no effect on any of policies. At all.

And it's not even uncommon for leftists and anti-capitalists to have money or come from money. Marx and Engels themselves were fairly wealthy. Taking part in a system or even thriving in one doesn't mean you condone it. Literally just giving away all your money, or just subjecting yourself to be poor forever wouldn't make you a good socialist. It'd just make you an idiot.

Socialism in America does not now, nor does it ever end with fukking Bernie Sanders breh. He's not even advocating for socialism that would primarily focus on mass wealth distribution of resources or opening the commons or advocating for workers to take control of their workplace and homes.
