It's a dumb strategy b/c it doesn't guarantee you anything especially in the NBA where you can have the worst record & still not get the top pick. And why woukd fans support a team that has the mindset to lose EVERY game possible for a whole season. What makes more sense is to draft well & have competent front office people, not this tanking garbage

It's gonna be a pathetic year with these bad teams post-all star break especially, for sure. They see this year as the Oden/Durant, Lebron/Carmelo opportunity. So, tanking season will return early.

Nobody says its guaranteed but its the only chance alto of teams have at ever getting a sueprstar so why not take that chance rather then stay in medicority?

This isnt mlb or nfl where the best tema doesnt always win and a team nobody thought could win a title gets hot one year, the best teams with the best players always win titles

A small market team cant win one without getting lucky in the lotto

It is unavoidable. Say you are the Milwaukee Bucks. You know damn well you are not signing a big free agent and if you try to trade for an all-star you are going to have to match money, send picks, or take back unwanted salary. Often times being total shyt is the only way to change a franchise.

No, how about you draft smart, don't overpay & build your team that way. Sacramento, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Minnesota. & a bunch of teams have tanked successfully for several years and have been garbage collectively for a decade.

You can find star players throughout the draft, tanking solves nothing
