meanwhile as a Kobe stan I'm still bitter that the Lakers lost against the Pistons in 04 and that was 14 years ago

As a cavs fan its the opposite for me Let the cavs win chips and if lebrons accolades happen to increase thats the bonus As long as the cavs win I really could careless if he or someone else wins finals MVP or if his stats or good or bad If Kevin Love were to sneak in a finals MVP I wouldn't care if LeBron didn't win it as long as my team is holding the trophy

It’s not as simple as one thing or the other.

Lebron isn’t just trying to tag along and get titles as some kind of 6th man.

He’s trying to win titles and be a meaningful contributor. It probably won’t happen this season but I wouldn’t take much consolation in a 40/10/8 first round exit. And Lebron probably wouldn’t either.
