During a discussion with Elliott Wilson, Jeezy explains he had no ill will towards Gibbs, but the financial situation would not allow him to continue to fund the Indiana emcee’s career.

Jeezy said:

I put him on a song with Eminem. I put him on a song with T.I. I put him on numerous mixtapes that I had. I took him on tour. Took him around the world. I spent money on videos that he didn’t use cause he didn’t like them, and it wasn’t his money.

So at the end of the day, my whole thing was to him was ‘I took you to every label in the game. They don’t wanna sign you. I don’t have no reason—I love you. You know what I’m saying? I think your music is dope, but they don’t want to sign you.’ So at the end of the day, when I called him up I was like, ‘Yo, I can’t really spend my money on you. I got family, other shyt I gotta take care of. So, I’ll help you all I can, but I can’t fund it anymore.’

Cool. Conversation went well. We got off the conversation it was straight love. I hear diss records. What I’m supposed to do? I’m not replying to that. N**a, we getting money. YG just sold a million f**king singles. At the end of the day, we all tried. It didn’t work. That shyt happens in business all the time…

I still ain’t surprised, cause I don’t give a f**k. I’m still getting money. I’m still on top. You’re not gonna knock that. And I’m still having success around me, but when you listen and good things happen – we celebrate like with YG.

YG success was his own doing along with the assistance of DJ Mustard.

Its Jeezy's fault for signing artists he know he can't produce results with . As a label owner you're expected to spend money on your artists

Jeezy has something that can't be taught, it's rare to get an artist that legitimately keeps it street but has such mass appeal. Even Ross and Meek haven't been able to do what Jeezy did in his prime, not comparing Jeezy to in any way or saying he is the of rap but it's the same reason Jordan has trouble managing his team

Some artists have content thats just NOT going to be popular.

I'm a huge Gibbs fan and honestly knew he wouldn't blow because he in the beginning was shyttin on mainstream artist.. Hell he just did a song with young thug
