He has all those medals because his sports allows for several different opportunities to medal. Imagine basketball having team basketball, the 15 foot pull up, the 90 foot crossover relay, the outlet pass, the 3-point contest, and the footwork in the paint event?

All Olympian's who obliterate the competition in their respective fields are great, period. Phelps ain't special.

Plus he looks goofy as fukk in the face and I'm hatin.

Have you even tried swimming? That shyt ain't easy bruh[/QUOTE]

never wanted to try it...and i agree about him being the goat..its a forced narrative based on medals...theres not alot of competition outside of his own teammates...Its like the 92 dreamteam, they were great but the competition was ass...

The premise of this thread is beyond stupid

Because his sport has multiple opportunities??? They are different races. Which require different sets of skill.

Just because u have the opportunity doesn't mean its automatic. He still has to win you know?

:mindblown:

Really? He does?

Great point.

Just thought about it and there is no such thing as a greatest Olympian really. Unless you compete in multiple types of events.

Precisely. Privileging one sport as the place the ultimate Olympian comes from is fukking stupid. Not sure why this is hard to comprehend.

Oh and its obvious t/s has never swam competitively. Close this thread man.

And I'm assuming you've never racewalked or trampolined competitively, mushmouth. So the fukk what? that's irrelevant to my point. I never said Michael Phelps isn't a great swimmer or that swimming is easy. Get a clue.
