And what classes do i take when i choose that?

Most schools have a set of core classes that all their students have to take. After you're finished with those you start taking the courses required for your major.

you'd be taking the same classes that everyone does

you can get a lot of bullshyt classes out of the way too

i'd put your major as communications, business, or something very "core"
most of the pre-reqs you'd be taking would be stuff that could apply to other majors when you figure out what you want to do

while you figure it out, it's a good time to go ahead and knock out your foreign lang classes (if you have to take them), your basic math and science stuff. maybe take a psych class and enjoy being a thinker for a second. it's a good time to knock out your public speaking or other comm classes too because it's a good class to take early, to learn skills that you can take into other classes later.

you'll be fine, people change their majors all the time.

I was just making sure, because i didn't want to just pick some random shit.

How long do i have to take these core classes?

I have to apply to colleges this week but i have no clue wtf i want to do with my life.

I don't want to choose some random major that i'm not going to enjoy working for.

Help me out:sadcam:.

There are too schools of though on this:
1) Do what you love
2) Do what makes $

If you're interested in #2 trust your gut if not roll the dice.

If you want to make serious bread one day, get into a field with a high employment rate and high salary. Research different science, engineering and IT fields. I know you thinking you want to have a "fun" job you enjoy but work is work breh. You gonna rather be making 6 figures working a boring/tough job than working a fun job making 30k.

go into STEM(Science Technology Engineering Math) specifically engineering...especially if your black. I notice as black people(if your black) alot of our parents, aunts, grandparents, etc can be some real real DUMBASS sheep and repeat this process every generation of telling you to go into either medical, law, or business school.

especially medical.

And alot of times they don't even realize you get paid higher in engineering fields just with a bachelors than in alot of fields in medical or business. and with law, alot of us don't ever reach that far to get paid that much.

there are various branches of engineering obviously but you choose the one you are interested in

If you choose to go to a community college, try and see if you could major in something like "Liberal Arts and Sciences"....

Not "Liberal Arts"......"Liberal Arts and Sciences" that way you can train yourself if you are not ready....and have alot of the prerequisities for engineering before you graduate and go on to the 4 year school........or you transfer over.

if you got accepted to a 4 year school already then i don't know what to say :ld:
