thats kinda a weird thing to want tho. microscopes are like mobile phone games where you gotta buy all sorts of extras just to enjoy the main product. For example, even if you ignore the attacthments, you still gotta purchase all sorts of other stuff like antigens, assays, stains, catalysts, clinical disposal services, etc before you can even use it on a biological specimen. Inorganic chem should be slightly easier.

But This stuff will set you back tens of thousands per month. Especially the disposals. Also im pretty sure there is some govt law saying you gotta be an institution or corporation to buy a lot of those catalysts and assays for obvious reasons.

OP, i think you could just rent lab time at your local public univeristy if you really wanna get into it. Let the American tax payer finance your fun:salute:

i'm a big nerd and own a microscope, i think i use it for fun like once every 10 years, super not worth

whenever i need to look at something to fix it i either use a loupe or optical comparator

the breh above me who said to rent lab/machine time has the right idea, i'm not spending $15k to have a comparator lying around lol
Actually I'd like to take some classes like biology, anatomy & chemistry so that i'd have enough basic knowledge to dikk around at home with stuff like the above in my spare time.
now this i can get behind :salute:
