I respect that it's technical skill that requires developed breath control and pronunciation skills (being fast and clear is hard).

I just prefer slower rhymes delivered with intensity and groove (on beat).

Example?

Compare Rakim's "Follow The Leader" to "Microphone Fiend". To me, Microphone Fiend is a way better song. I was trying to rap along to Follow The Leader and I was stumbling over words, having to catch my breath. Follow The Leader's beat isn't all that hard or interesting, and Rakim isn't on beat half the time.

But Microphone Fiend has a hard ass beat and funky flow... I was getting into it.

My favorite line in the "Fiend" record?

"My DJ cuts material [Eric B scratches]
Grand imperial!"

The way Ra says that shyt is so fire! :banderas:

You get my point. Do you prefer faster rappers or slower rappers? There's no right or wrong answer here.
