Until we die. And i think its meant to be that way for whatever reason god,deity,etc because if people did know for a fact then it would create mass suicide, killings and any order in the world simply be lost. I know personally ive had some really cool dreams...and if you simply went into a state of eternal dreaming after you die i wouldnt kill my self but id also have 0 fear of dying what so ever.
