My mom’s friend’s daughter died recently. She was battling lupus and needed heart valve surgery, but I guess the doctors kept pushing it off. She was 31 and had a 3 year old; she was the only daughter too.

I didn’t know her, but it bummed me out to here this. So young and leaves a child behind that will never know her mother.

I don’t get why the surgery wasn’t rushed. I’m on medi-cal and have had procedures done fast. Not on a major level, so it’s perplexing to hear how this major surgery wasn’t sped up. :francis:

Did you need heart valve surgery? I imagine it's not a procedure that could be rushed like the ones you had.

I did say “not on a major level”…

One was kind of big because it was to check for the Big C. Another was a CT scan.
So you can't compare it to your procedures. Just getting simple things like approvals and authorizations can take weeks/months.
