National Guardsman so I’m part time military. In basic training having them drill sergeants howling after us 24/7 excluding Sunday and then when you graduate and get their respect and that sense of achievement. Haven’t felt that in civilian life at all as of recent. I quit my job as a parking attendant cuz it felt like some wack shyt and the Mexican guy that I was filling in for was super dedicated to that job, the cacs told me he never took a sick day in 7 years and I was...

I’m tryna build up my car so I can take it to these meets in LA and working on my physique on shyt but looking for that one last high.

I was in JROTC in high school. Bought in pretty hard and went to mini boot camp. shyt was fun after the fact . We had in inspection and one of my boys was getting the full treatment from 3 DIs at once ( ). He took that shyt like a champ. I needed him to open my water bottle at the end of the second night because I was so wore out . Got home and had flashbacks when I went to sleep

Other than my parents, my JROTC instructors were probably the most important people in my life at the time. Even though I didn't join, many times I judge myself against the standard they held against me. Sometimes I wonder what would have been if I told them I got scouted by West Point my junior year...

Did JROTC do those summer training sessions like the Naval ROTC does for their midshipmen? I might no NROTC in university.

Nah. There were a couple of summer academies they'd send you to if you were one of the top cadets, but no legit training.
