Piggybacking off a @NoStressB post

Outside of Daytona, all those 7 track Kanye EPs came and went, none of which were particularly good.

The Nas and Kanye album should've been the winner but was middling as fukk, no matter how much a stan wants to lie about it.

Jay-Z and Beyonce dropped a joint album this year and no ones talking about it anymore. How the fukk does that happen?

People are still lying to themselves that Migos can really rap like that and convinced them boys to drop bloated and solo albums that were, shockingly, underwhelming.

Who's left....them lil Rocket Power ray mustard nikkas? Come on.

Best song on the Swizz Beats album wasn't even produced by him (to no ones surprise).

And yall aint finna give it to Drake sooo....

Lot of disappointment this year....I'd expect some of yall to say this year was trash even.

But on the underground side of things? Breh we eatin so good, we gaining weight. :ahh: Currensy/Gibbs/Alchemist, multiple Roc Marciano albums, Conway, Westside Gunn, and Benny all dropped heat with multiple releases, Ka and Animoss dropped a masterpiece, Lupe with the greatest, heaviest, and BLACKEST album of the year, Meyhem Lauren/Harry Fraud with that fly street shyt, Crimeapple with that grimey shyt, Armand Hammer did it again but most of yall still aint ready for em...I mean, what? And I know I'm missing some more shyt.

Even Joell Ortiz dropped the best album of his career with Apollo Brown and showed some serious growth on the mic that proved he's not just a rappity rap ass nikka, and Knowledge the Pirate surprised everybody and dropped one of the best debut albums in a long time with Flintlock.

But yeah, if I didn't know about any of that...I'd be disappointed too. :qpsmug:

to be honest maybe the year with most disappointments.

Scorpion was cheeks. Ye been a miss, Hov shyt weak, Nas mediocre, fell asleep during Culture II, Dime Trap was wack, Metro's joint was boring.

Best albums so far by Lupe, Denzel Curry, Travis, Pusha and Saba.

Crimeapple's album with Big Ghost "Aguardiente" is a great starting point

For Armand Hammer, start with Race Music from 2013 and see if you like them from there. I'll be honest, those dudes can go pretty left and catch people off guard

It’s been a super weird year seeing that most of the albums that dropped would’ve been seen as dream albums had they dropped years before(The Carter’s, Ye x Nas, Ye x Cudi, Quavo solo)but they were all trash for the most part

But then you have people like Roc Marciano, WSG, Mach Hommy, Al Divino, Anhklejohn, and others who dropped superb albums that could very be seen as classics with time
