I figured out why Lamar Jackson has been successful this year.

After watching some of that game yesterday, basically teams do not respect the Ravens passing attack.
The Ravens have a great offensive line are so run heavy, defenses sell out and when they do, the ravens passing attack opens up. It also helps that the Ravens got a great defense, and it's why they opted to trade for defensive pieces like Peters and sign a player like Thomas, instead of upgrading the WR corps.

All of the running that Jackson does, its NOT sustainable. And I still think the media is overrating him, but it is what it is. I will eat humble pie for not, but please believe, when that rookie contract is up, and the roster isn't as good, we will see who gets the last word.

I understand your point, i think a lot of qbs take the league by storm, and then years 3-5 they struggle, because the defense catch up, but that’s literally the point, the offense stress defenses, and he’s running to make plays, and over time they will keep adding key pieces that can open up the offense while maintaining their defense, I’m hoping he continues to grow

THis is the problem with this site, too many dumb takes... the same shyt was said about Lamar after the Chargers game in the playoffs ... lets enjoy this run it will be ups and downs like most players in football but dumb takes like the Chiefs offense has been figured out is stupid just like this just like Brees is a better qb than Aaron Rodgers we have to stop these dumb takes

But I had a similar take on RGIII, and Jonny Manzel :mindblown:

I'm not saying he's a bum, but for the love of Christ, he's not as nice as people are making him out to be. HE's being praised for doing a fukking juke move that nets a 3 yard gain. Michael Vick's name is getting thrown in the bushes just to prop him up. :mjpls:

Thrown in the bushes just to prop him up? He's about to break vick's rushing record and so vick is still being brought up.

Are you even black?

Idk why I’m about to argue this so imma make my point then if you disagree we can agree to disagree.

Right now Lamar has a 66.3 completion percentage, 28 TDs and 6 int’s, thrown for 2,677 yards so far this season. Stats don’t tell the whole story so watch the film. He’s decisive, makes the right play more times than not, doesn’t force the ball in places where he shouldn’t (naively trusting his arm strength to carry him through bad throws). He’s humble, he’s not RG3 walking into Snyder’s office saying “I’m not an option QB I’m Tom Brady, Peyton Manning stop running me.” He’s not Manziel whose ADMITTED to not knowing concepts or scheme, and just going out on the field and winging it, using his athleticism to carry him through games and not taking his craft seriously. Your comparisons with Lamar to RG and Manziel are bullshyt, and just shows you’re a guy who was raised to believe the best QBs “stand tall in the pocket, survey the defense, are big with a lot of arm strength” and those QBs just happen to be white.

He’s successful because the scheme is perfect for him, his legs are all time elite at the QB position and he has a good enough arm to punish teams that sell out to stop the run.

Combine all that with teams not having a lot of footage on him in Greg Romans scheme, and you get a dude who is shytting on the league.

Now next year when teams have had a whole off season to prep for him, it MIGHT be different. But this season nobody has a chance at stopping him.

:francis:And because I predict, he won't I get vilified.

Why must we dikk ride every black quarterback? I showed love to Newton, Watson, Dak etc. I criticized Hurts when he was at Alabama, but he's turned into a respectable pro prospect at Oklahoma.

I hate how people keep saying he can't sustain what he is doing as if he's not going to continue to get bette throwing the ball. Have you've not seen the improvement he's made from year 1? Sounds like a lot of people want him to fail which is disgusting. Why? Just so you can come on a messageboard and say I told you so? So of yall live some sad lives.
