i got doggystyle on right now and this album just flows a whole lot better than the chronic does from song to song

the chronic is still 1 of the goat albums but doggystyle is better


yeah, i know this ain't news to nikkas who already liked or favored this album more than the chronic, i'm just makin' an obvious statement

Agree, improved production compared to Chronic and prime Snoop is a way more charismatic and better rapper than Dre. Also it sounds thicker, aged more well. Really the only thing Chronic has over Doggystyle that Chronic is considered the g-funk originator so it's more original, but the quality of it is not as good as Doggystyle's.

You ain't lying. Thing is: Chronic was the introduction to that type of sonic so it gets extra points for being first on the market (so to speak); but, Doggystyle ... man, that album.

Play "The Shiznit" or "Doggy Dog World" at any party now and it's like it's '94 all over again.

Post Script - ain't no disrespect to The Chronic - it's still a classic. But it wasn't as polished.

I've grown to like The Chronic more over time but at one point I had Doggystyle miles ahead of it, it's a little closer now but Doggystyle is still a lot better to me

Doggystyle is really the blueprint on how skits should be done. They made the album feel even more like one of those classic pimp movies.

The House Party skit with Daz & Dre dissin eazy
The Chronic Break with that insane daz laugh
Bow Wow cursin out the teacher
