I remember Bun B said how Jay wanted them for the Big Pimpin track and Pimp C was like "fukk outta here" He didn't want to do no pop/mainstream song. He wanted to keep it really underground
But he did it anyway just for Bun.

And that was the best decision they ever made in their career. It led to them getting their name out there and becoming more mainstream without really changing their sound. Pimp C getting locked up really hurt their momentum though. They proly would have sold mad albums if he could have stayed out the pen. But Bun took the UGK namd and put it on his back and killed every guest apperance he had. And was shouting out Free Pimp C the whole time.
