did not read the op, put a pot of water over high heat. heat up the water until it is boiling, then add three potato halves, salt, and pepper. drop in the turtle. after 3 minutes, lower the heat and cover the pot. after about half an hour you will eat well. depending on the size of the animal, you may be able to invite a lil honeydip over. just tell her it is rabbit meat. she won't know and we won't tell.

Whatever you do... just remember, although turtles enjoy water they breath air. So if you have it in your tub make sure it has something it can climb on to get out of the water when it wants to.

Snap a pic of it with your phone and the person at the pet store will tell you what to feed it.
