I accepted a help desk position to relocate to Houston on contract at $18 an hour, then today i get a 2 month contract(with possible extension) offer at $28 an hour to stay in Baton Rouge.

Pros and cons to both of course.

Going to Houston = Latin bytches

Staying in BR = More money, getting to stay close to family and friends

Houston will still be there down the road :patrice:

Im split brehs

Yeah, not an easy decision. The Houston job is a contract job, how long is the contract, a year? Sounds like a good job opportunity.
But the $28/hr job could result in a contract extension and pays more.

My opinion, go with the Houston job if it's for a year or longer. If the Houston job is six to 9 months and no possibility for full-time conversion, go with the Baton Rouge job.

I moved for a job/money multiple times, I ended up in places without family and friends. Gets lonely and boring.

Houston job is open contract with monthly reviews.

I'd say to stay home. Family is there incase you need them and it pays more. Just make sure the job gets extended further. If not then you can consider trying for Houston again. Better to have a job and be by yourself then no job with friends around.

So, you could potentially lose it in one month, which I doubt if you do a good job.
Hmm, so is the Baton Rouge job temporary, like an extension would be just one month or something like that or extension as in it could go on for over six months to a year?
