2 months with possible extension, but id be looking to jump into networking around that time anyway
You want to go from help desk to networking in two months?
What's going on? If you have networking skills now, then apply for that. If you want to transfer into networking after you get some IT experience, that's fine, but there's no guarantee possibilities are going to open up right after two months.

I have networking skills but no certification yet, id rather wait until i have both and there are always opportunities available, especially in houston

What if they don't extend the 2 month contract?

Im assuming if you're looking to switch towns, jobs in BR paying $18-$28 aren't easy to come by.

Also are these w2, 1099 or corp to corp rates?

Sounds like you want to relocate anyway. Take the $18 an hour since it's a longer contract...see if you can get a 1099 or corp to corp that way you can write off the moving expenses. If you're getting into networking you can do that help desk for 6 mos - 1 year and move on but save as much as you can. You can get more than $18 an hour in Houston if you get a networking gig (there are a few options you can take).

$18 an hour over 6-12 mos is better than $28 over 2 months. If you're single they are going to hit you with high taxes anyway.

Yeah but 2 mos vs more than 2 mos.

You're good if the contract goes longer. If it were a 6 month i would say cool but for 2 months...

this shouldn't be a tough decision..your only pro for Houston are non-black women? :camstare:not much incentive, so stay.

What kinda joker takes a job in a different market where the only incentive is the women? :mindblown: Let this c00n go to Houston so he can find some Latin bytches to take him for everything he has. Then he'll really be wishing he stayed in BR. :russ:

I don't see what the pros are of Houston in this case...

You're getting more money to stay home near your family.

The only real reason to go to Houston is simply the experience of living in another city/state, and that shyt is overrated because it's still America and it's still the south, the culture change ain't gonna be all that.
